A Short Biography and Philosophy Plato
Plato Or Aristocles (427-347 BC) was born in Athens from noble families. He was a pupil of Socrates. For Plato, Socrates was the most honest and wisest of his day. His famous work is Apologia which is a defense of Plato to Socrates in court. Other works are Kriton, Protagoras, Gorgias, Menon, Kratylos, Symposian, Phaidan, politeia, Phaldros and Politikos.
According to Plato that the world in which we live is world of experience that ever-changing, while the actual reality is a world of ideas. Only the wise man who can understand the world of ideas. And the only philosopher who deserves to be the driver a state.
Plato died when a friend's wedding at the age of 81 years.
